The founder of the Attaah Appeal, Jessica Blend, became associated with the village in early 2002 when tracing the family of twin orphans (Attaah and Atta).
On this intial visit Jessica was disturbed at the general poverty and lack of amenties; with no easy access to education or healthcare, the reason for the tragic death of our namesakes mother.
After many subsequent visits and much research Jessica set up the Attaah Appeal. The Aim of the Attaah Appeal was to aid the education of the village with the ethos that education gives an individual freedom of choice.
The site is currently being developed and therefore some of the pages may not contain any information. We’re putting the site together as quickly as we can so please visit again soon.
